Meet
Laurie
Renton

Laurie lives her light, and by doing so, she is a guide to help others live theirs.

She is an avid practitioner of the Enneagram and has deep experience with its capacity to help people better understand themselves and their orientation to the world around them. She believes it is especially useful for business owners and the teams they lead.

She is a mom, grandma, friend, partner, and a life-long learner. As a boss, a leader, and a steward of her own company she knows that an organization is only as healthy as the teams within them.

Having sold her insurance business 5 years ago and being in transition with her investment firm, she is now focusing her efforts on building another business focused on personal growth, team development, and community connection.

Laurie has always been passionate about people and human potential. After eight years of employment in the investment and insurance industry, she felt unappreciated. She believed in her dream and took the leap in 1994, opening LR Future Insurance and Investments.  As a lifelong learner, she has taken a unique approach to create wealth, prosperity, and growth around money, which led her to receive the YWCA Women of Distinction award for entrepreneurship and innovation in 2016.

Laurie has made an impact as Chair of many boards including Yorkton Business Improvement District, Habitat for Humanity Yorkton Chapter, Parkland Chapter of Women Entrepreneurs and Economic Development Committee to the City of Yorkton. She currently sits as a director on the Ventures Community Futures Board in Saskatchewan.

Her company has won multiple awards with Saskatchewan Blue Cross and the Chamber of Commerce, including Community Involvement, Community Merit, and the Award of Excellence. Laurie was also recognized at Yorkton’s 65th Annual Short Film and Video festival with the Visionary Award.

Laurie is a Certified Professional Aging Consultant as well as a certified Cash Flow Specialist. She also hosts a local radio show every month called “All you ever wanted to know” featuring the “Power of a Question”
